5 Benefits of an Organized Closet

Organized Closet
Ah - organization. There’s something so easy and so perfect about it. You find what you’re looking for when you’re looking for it. Who wouldn’t want that? It means less stress and less frustration next time you go to choose an outfit or find a pair of shoes to wear.

Imagine it: You open the doors of your closet. It’s neat. It’s tidy. You can quickly select your clothing or shoe options. And then, you’re out of the door in less than 5-10 minutes. Sounds great, right?

But let’s not stop there. Here are 5 benefits of an organized closet:

1. You’ll have more space.

A cluttered mess means less room. It’s surprising how much space you can save with a little organization techniques. For example, storage-friendly hangers and boxes can help in an array of ways. Design your closet based on your needs. Bring in-season items to the front, and store out-of-season items in the back or out of sight. Hey, who knows? Maybe you have room for more than you thought.

2. It saves you a ton of time!

No more digging through boxes, shuffling through hangers, or digging through messy piles. Organization means you don’t have to go searching for your items. You won’t waste loads of time finding that one shirt that you know is in there, but isn’t making an appearance. Instead, you’ll simply grab it off the hanger or out of the drawer - and boom! You’re ready to go.

3. It starts your day off right.

This is especially true if you really aren’t a morning person. There’s nothing more offsetting and more likely to set your day off on the wrong foot than a mad hunt for clothes to wear. Plus, an organized closet looks appealing to the eyes. Start your day off with a peace of mind. It’ll help you put one foot forward on a happier note - setting your day up for success!

4. It might increase your home value!

Wait - what? Yup, you read that right. If you go out of your way to design your closet for optimal organization, people will want to buy your home. A nice closet is always a huge bonus. This is especially true if it is in the master bedroom. Prospective buyers love it. You’ll be able to get more bang for your buck. Consider this if you might be selling your home in the next 5 years.

5. You may even save money.

It’s true! You won’t buy similar clothing, shoes, or anything else when you see every day that you have them. Or you won’t have to go replacing that favourite shirt because it’s buried in a pile deep in the depths of your closet. You get to see the array of outfits you can create easily. It takes away that burden or feeling that you just don’t have anything to wear! You do! It’s all there - nicely organized and laid out for you.

Organize your closet today! Save yourself the stress. And hey, start small. Put a few clothing items on hangers then move to colour coordinating everything. You’ve got this! Imagine the stress and frustration you’ll save yourself later on down the road.
